I have a question regarding searching in Outlook 2007. We're running Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2007 with Cached Exchange Mode enabled. When I do a search from within Outlook, is it looking through the .ost file or is it searching the Exchange datastore? If it is the ost file, then if you turn off Cached Mode, would it search the datastore? The reason I ask is because we're having issues with the Outlook search so I don't know if the index needs to be fixed on the local machine or on the Exchang server. Any advice is appreciated. If you are in non cach mode then it will look into datastore !Anil

In cached mode it searches the OST. To proove this out the outlook in offline mode and search. it donot looks for exchange data it looks for local OST files Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
