Outlook Web Access
I am configuring the OWA for Exchange server 2003. I am able to get to the logon screen where I can choose between premium and basic. We are on a domain so the logon is authenticated with our active directory. After I enter my credentials and click logon, it takes me to an error page that tells me it could not display the webpage due to an HTTP 404 error. This is from any computer on our network. Everything looks right, so what am I missing. Are there additional configuration settings for the default web site or SSL I am not thinking of???

Hi, Does it work via http? If you would like to use SSL configure it like explained in this tutorial: http://www.petri.co.il/configure_ssl_on_owa.htm Regards, Johan blog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

Hi, First please apply the latest update for Exchange Server 2003. How to obtain the latest service packs for Exchange Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836993/ Please ensure that all the Exchange related services has been started. Please ensure if all the user cannot access OWA. Besides, Id like to know what is your scenario? Front-end/Back-end? If you have front-end with Back-end, then please try to access directly to the Back End Server. Please check if you have install other web application on Exchange Server, like Sharepoint, etc. If yes, then some ISAPI filters will be installed on Exchange virtual directory in IIS Manager. Related information share with you: HTTP 401 or 404 error messages when you access OWA implicitly or explicitly http://support.microsoft.com/kb/293386#top XCCC: "HTTP 404" Error Appears When You Try to Log On to OWA Through a Front-End Server in a Cluster http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312422 Removal of application mappings may cause an HTTP 404 error in Outlook Web Access http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298513 You receive a "Page not found" error message when you use Outlook Web Access (OWA) to browse the Exchange Server 2003 client after you install Windows SharePoint Services http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823265 Hope it helps. Thanks. I already had the patch installed. I started from scratch and everything is working. We have only 5 users right now and do not have a front end/back end setup. I have no doubt I will be able to set up the remaining 21 accounts and have them working in no time. I just wanted to comment on how I thought this forum is really a great resource. I am glad to have people "in the know" helping me out. Thanks again!!
