Outlook Web Access External Access
I set up a Front-End Exchange server, where my "email.domain.com" works fine on that server but When I move to another Server on my Network I was unable to access that "email.domain.com" but the "servername/exchange" works. But if I edit the host file located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc on that local server or any other computer on my network, now i can access "email.domain.com".And also when I type "email.domain.com" on a computer outside of my network, it redirects me to my website "domain.com".I created "email.domain.com" with DYNDNS.org pointing to the same Public IP that my website uses. Some help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Kellz,
If you have changed your Front-end server, you need to contact your ISP and make the DNS record of "email.domain.com" to point to the new server.
Regarding how to use https://mail.mailserver.com instead of https://mail.mailserver.com/exchange, you can refer to the following steps:
1. Start IIS Manager
2. Right click on the "Default Web Site" and choose "Properties".
3. Click on the "Home Directory" tab.
4. Change the first option to "A redirection to a URL".
5. Enter "/exchange" in to the box (minus quotes)
6. Change the entry below to "A directory below URL entered".
7. Click Apply/OK
8. Restart IIS.
Hope this helps. Thanks,
Elvis

Thanks Elvis,"http://email.domain.com" works fine on my front-end server because I edited the "host" file located in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc" this is an example "xx.xx.x.1 email.domain.com". But when I type in that same address (http://email.domain.com) from outside my network my website comes up which is "www.domain.com".Thanks

Hi Kellz,
You change the DNS record internally, so it works. For Internet accessing, please contact your ISP to mark sure the DNS record is correct.

Thanks Elvis for all your help. It was a very simple issue. Iwas hosting my website and Front-end server on the same router where both user port 80 therefore there was a conflict between those two. I removed the web server off that router and everything works fine now. Once again thanks for your help.
Thanks
Kelly
