I am with the IT department at a college and I have a staff member that is running W7 Enterprise 64-bit. Using the Office 2013 suite. Outlook is having issue when the user tries to adjust (lengthen or shorten, move, or delete) an instance of a recurring appointment. The user has daily recurring appointments that often need to be tweaked slightly. Starting about a week ago, with zero adjustments to any software or hardware on her machine, every time she tries to move the appointment up an hour or remove it or lengthen it, Outlook crashes and says "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution for the problem" but Windows never finds a solution. It crashed and closes and then I am able to reopen it but still with no editing ability.
I have tried opening the occurrence and recreating it, opening Outlook in safe mode, recreating the user profile, uninstalling and reinstalling Office, others users on her machine (no issue occurs), same user on other machines (issue still occurs), ran a
repair on Outlook, ran a repair on the .pst file, and adjusted permissions. OWA allows the occurrence to be edited no problem, but the change doesn't reflect in Outlook. I have even re-imaged the users PC and still no resolution.
I have been supplied a hotfix to resolve the issue but when trying to apply it I get a message that says something along the lines of "There is no application that needs this hotfix"
basically. I talked to Microsoft about the issue and they said, given that error, that this hotfix isn't needed and the problem must lie somewhere else. I think some way this is the correct hotfix but at this point it won't resolve the current issue.
This is the hotfix I was sent:

Nothing has worked yet, so any other suggestions would be very pleasing. Thanks!
