Outlook delivery reports
Hi
I know in Outlook 2007 there is the option of requesting a Delivery Report or Read Reciept.
Does anyone know how these work? At what point are they generated etc?
I have a Manager in our company who is the recipient of a lot of mail from other people he doesn't want to read. He wants to set up a rule in Outlook to delete these, but is wondering if the sender would ever find out!
We' re running Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007.

Delivery receipts are sent by the SMTP server. Read receipts are sent
by the e-mail client.
If you don't want to send read receipts then configure the Outlook
client to never send them.
