Outlook profile not updating to new Exchange Server
I just recently transitioned from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007. I have since decomissioned my Exchange 2000 server and now have the following issue. When a user opens outlook for the first time since the transition, the old Exchange server is still referenced in the profile. This causes Outlook not to open until I manually modify the profile to the new Exchange server. When I was running the 2 servers side by side this process was automatic.I think I madea mistake when I removed the first administrative group after I thought it was no longer needed.I have read in posts not to do this. Now I am stuck. Could someone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
David Grover

Create a new CNAME for the old server, and point it to the new server....
For the Alias put "Exchange 2000 Server Name", and point the FQDN for target host to the "Exchange 2007 Server"
This sounds like it should work but im not entirely positive. > Test prior to makeing the change in prod...
If your clients were OL2007 you could use the discover service....
