I am currently having problems connecting to outlook. I have found a temporary solution by allowing high ports (1024-65535) through my firewall, but I'm not wanting to keep all those ports open. I have found both of these links
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691338%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx#NetworkPortandFirewall
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331973.aspx
but neither of these talk about really high ports. From what I see, a lot of traffic goes from 55000-57000 to port 443 (HTTPS). I'm just looking for a reason and some documentation on why traffic is going through those ports because they seem to be really random.
