POP3 Activation Problem
Hi all,I am currently experiencing problems activating the POP3 Service on Windows Exchange Server 2003. I always receive the message "Could not start the Microsoft POP3 Service service on Local Computer", along with error #1067 "The process terminated unexpectedly."Anybody have any idea as to how to remedy this? Everything else on the system/server appearsto be in perfect working order.

Did you mean "Microsoft Exchange POP3" service? or the POP3 service that comes with Windows itself? Mike Crowley: MCT, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Messaging Administrator

TheExchange POP3 service. I've tried going to 'Services' and setting it to "Automatic", but it still does not allow the POP3 to activate. I'vealso triedremoving/reinstallingthe POP3 service countless times, and I still end up with the same result.

Hi,
Yes, please paste the related event log here for our discussion.Have you installed Exchange 2003 SP2? If not, installing it and update your Exchange to the latest version first.
Meanwhile, I suggest you download ExBPA to have a health check for the Exchange Server.
Thanks,
Elvis
