POP3 Connector Downloads Email but Does not Deliver it to Exchange Account
I am setting up the POP3 Connector in Windows Small Business Server 2003. On a trial basis, I have only configured 2 pop3 email accounts to be downloaded and sent to 2 separate exchange mailboxes. According to the Application Event Viewer tThe POP3 connector downloads the email from mail.telushosting.com properly and signifies this as the following details of a message: "The delivery process for message <id {41313341-8e60-4ab6-91be-c6c3e6d11846c}> finished successfully." The email is removed frorm the telushosting mail server. The mail for this user is configured through the POP3 Connector to be sent to 'Dustin's exchange mailbox. The email does not arrive in his mailbox. I have checked the "Failed Mail" folder and it is empty. The details on the "Incoming Mail" folder indicate the exact time that a message has entered and left this folder but the message does not appear in any of my Exchange mailboxes. I searched the entire 'C' drive of my server for a file with the message id indicated above but no results were found. I looked in every folder on my server that has the word 'mail' or 'incoming' or 'fail' in it but still can not locate the missing emails. Does anyone know what is causing my problem and where these email messages may be sitting? I've been struggling with this for a couple of days now. Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Issue description: Mail has been downloaded, but not reaching the users mailbox There may be an issue either with mail flow or the configuration of the POP3 connector Troubleshooting: 1. Please stop the SMTP Virtual Server (not the service). Initiate a POP3 download. You will find the message is placed into the mailroot\Pickup folder. From here, you can use notepad to open the mail message and view the content. The main thing you are looking for here is the header information 2. Please increase the level of diagnostic logging to maximum. Initiate a download of POP3 mail and then check the event viewer for POP3 events (Please see Diagnostic Logging section in KB 279985) Resources: How to troubleshoot the POP3 Connector in Windows Small Business Server 2003 Troubleshoot the POP3 Connector in Windows Small Business Server 2003 Notes: For questions about POP3 connector please use the SBS Newsgroup which would be the most relevant forum for the question
