Is there any POP3 connector or 3rd party connector for Exchange 2007

A pop3 connector is not included in Exchange 2007, but any connector that would deliver mail as smtp to Exchange would work. I only know of POPBEAMER, but there are bound to be more.

The POP3 connector for exchange (previous versions) only used to ship with the SBS product as any larger company is much more likely to get its mail from the ISP using a streaming SMTP sevrice or direct from the originators mail server connecting directly to your published mail servers valid IP. If you are running exhcnage 2007 you probably have enough users that one of the above methods would be much better anyway as the mail will be received quicker than using POP to fetch it!

what do you need for pop3 connector? if you need your users to use pop3 clients to receive emails from your exchange 2007 here is what I've done: 1. enable pop3 service as it;s disable by default 2. use set-popsettings -LoginType PlainTextLogin in exchange shell if your pop3 client dose not support securelogin as exchange2007 pop3 use securelogin by default 3. you have to create a new recieve connector under server configuration/hub transport to allow your pop3 client to use exchange2007 as smtp relay to send external emails. the default receive connector only allows to send smtp email to internal addresses or use port 587 rather than port 25. on this connector, make sure you only allow your users IP to send , need authentication, permission group to use exchange users for security this setup works for me good luck

Is there an MS pop3 connector for any version of exchange 2007 including SBS that could be "used" with enterprise 07? fyi.. there is a use for a pop3 connector in a non SBS installation. For example, there are hosted VOIP providers that do not forward voicemail and/or inbound faxes to email clients. So if you want those types of messages in the inbox you have to "get" them. POP3 are the only available protocols. So we need to pop those messages from the providers into the exchange server. There is a product called pop3 connector from mapilab it works but would prefer a built in solution.

As mentioned earlier there is no builtin pop connectorin Exchange 2007. Also MS does not deliver any that I'm aware of. You need to use a commercial product which would pop into a mailbox and send it to Exchange through SMTP.
