Page Caching for Exchange
On my Exchange best practice one warning I get is that my page caching is larger then the physical memory. Can someone educate me on this as I thought in general a large page caching was a good thing.

Hi,The recommended page file size is equivalent to 1.05 times the RAM up to a maximum of 4,095 MB.For this error, you can obtain the explaination on the below link:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb738135.aspxThanksAllen

Allen,Thanks for your reply. Where I would like some clarification is that Windows Server recommends a minimum page caching of 6141 with 4GB of system memory, this article recommends 4095. So I see a conflict here.In addition this article recommends 4095mb per volume. So if my Exchange server has multiple volumes does that mean each volume should have page caching set at 4095mb?Do I set the primary partition at 4095mb and the secondary partition at 2046mb giving me a total of 6141mb? Or does each volume get 4095mb, in my case that would be 4095mb x 3 = 12285mb total? Or is it just a single setting for a total page caching to be at 4095mb on the primary drive?Any advice would be great.

Hi,Please understand that the page file size for the Windows Server and Exchange server is different. For Exchange server, it's just a single setting for a total page caching to be at 4095mb on the primary drive.ThanksAllen

This is what I find confusing, Windows Server recommends 6141 in the page cache setting which is the foundation for Exchange and yet Exchange is saying no it should be less. ugh go figure.
