Please! Help!
Okay, im not sure if i can post this here or if it belongs somewhere else, buti need help. I recently built a computer (Wich im using). Ive had it for about a month, and SOMEHOW i have some horrible viruses. no virus scan will work. Tried a bunch. My problem is, i need to reformat my drive, and re-install windows. But, im using an OEM version of XP Pro that i bought.. Now if i re-install windows will validation go through? I was told it wont work and i need to speak with someone. How do i do this? I need to do this quick, i have important things to do on my comp including classes. and everytime i connect to a site it routes me to other virus sites and just gives me more problems! Thanks.

It sounds like you need to rebuild your computer from scratch, for sure. However, I think you can reactivate your key. If not, you should call Microsoft and explain that you are rebuilding your computer and you need to reuse your key. I am pretty they will let you do this. You will need to check their web site for your local / regional Microsoft support location.

Yeah i just called them. they told me.. "Since you are using an OEM version of windows we have no authority over it, its soly your problem. If you want us to help you need to purchase a retail version of windows" Like i can afford a $400 disk after just purchasing OEM for 200... these people are insane. And newbs who make viruses are even worse. How would they like it if i sent anthrax in a letter to thier house! About the same as me opening a web page and recieveing a nightmare ugh . And, MS already told me, when i go to reinstall it it will not be valid anymore since im using it a second time. Gawd... what a nightmare.
