PowerPoint 2013 - Inserting YouTube videos

Hello,

For some reason if a user tries to insert a YouTube video into PowerPoint 2013 (64bit) nothing happens, they see the video to select and then it doesn't insert with no error.

If I log in as a local admin it works, any ideas?

Hi,

Please right click the PowerPoint 2013, run it as admins administrator in the user account and check if you can insert a YouTube video.

Then, Go to File|Option|Trust Center|Privacy Option| Make sure "Allow Office to connect to the internet" is enabled.

Next, the Shockwave Flash Player must be installed and turned on in Internet Explorer for all videos to play.

Still doesn't work - Please right click the PowerPoint 2013, run it as admins administrator in the user account and check if you can insert a YouTube video.

Already enabled - Then, Go to File|Option|Trust Center|Privacy Option| Make sure "Allow Office to connect to the internet" is enabled.

Already installed/enabled - Next, the Shockwave Flash Player must be installed and turned on in Internet Explorer for all videos to play.

As I said it works as the local admin.

Hi Sir,

Was there any error message when inserted the video? Based on the situation now, I recommend we review the event log and check if there is any error logged. If there are some error message, you can send the event log to us:

ibsofc@microsoft.com

Please Note: The email subject you should use the URL or the Title Name of your case.

That is the thing there is no error message at all. and nothing in the event logs.

Are there any other logs I can check or turn on?

Hi,

Sorry for reply delay. In my view, this issue might be caused by the permission. Please try to use process monitor to collect the Access denied error.
