Power Pivot refresh from a Access 2010 connection

Hello,

I have created a dashboard that uses Power Pivot from data stored on a Access 2010 table. The table sits at about 25 columns and will go to around 600,000 rows. If I were to save this file and distribute it to around 40 people, would they able to just open the file, hit refresh all through power pivot, and continue to use the workbook with the updated data without issues. It works fine for me, but when multiple people use, they get a connection error. Generally, there would be around 20 people hitting refresh 1 once a week on the report.

I've read about splitting the database, but it is only a table and nothing more. The database is only for holding the rawdata, and allowing power pivot to refresh from it.

Is there a connection limit through power pivot and access? I've read it was 255 connections at the same time was the limit. Is it possible to create different connection files so it does not look like they are using the same one, since everyone has the same copy, but on their computer. I'm at a loss on this. Thanks

yes, access's Number of concurrent users is 255, but it also based on your server. if the hardwave of server is poor, this issue sitll has.
