Power point in windows 8 not saving. Any time I try to save the file, I got "Press ESC to cancel saving". I change the name, the type of file I want to, close the program, always the same note. Also opens "Press Esc to cancel opening".

The message appears when saving is taking a long time for reasons below:

1.You either had started with a .ppt file and it is in compatibility mode.

2.You have a huge file.

3.You have lots of pictures and PowerPoint is compressing them (you may consider changing that setting).

4.You have embedded sounds and fonts.

5.Or a combination of the previous.

That message is normal. Just give it a couple minutes and you should be good to go.
