I just ran the Exchange 2010 Pre-Deploy Analyzer. Ran it from my Win 7 workstation. It is a all-on premise, from 2003 to 2010 scan. So, step 1 I put in the username info and server to connect to. s far as I can tell it succeeds cause it goes on to step 2 and includes listing my exchange servers to scan. I choose the Readiness check. There are no options, so I click start scan.... Then it says 2 completed but also shows the whole red Xs for both. Only option at this point is to click on "View report for this scan" so I click it. Has 3 report types availble. It starts out on List Reports and under that it only shows 1 item : Exchange Server 2007 compatibility I dont have Exchange 2007. So, I click tree reports and it basically just tells me the same thing. Lastly i click Other Reports, and this one at least seems to be telling me something..
