Hi all, I encountered an error during deploy sp1 of exchange2007. (Pre-req for Mailbox role)See below: [ERROR] This computer requires the update described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 928368 (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=92853). Without this update, the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service may stop responding. And I downloaded the patch 928368x64. But when tried to install it. It mentioned that "Setup has detected that the service pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying". My system: 2003x64 with sp2. Exchange2007RTM. Anyone help me? Hi Xiao, Exchange 2007 SP1 is available, why dont you try installing it instead of RTM and see the result. Hi Tank, Thank you. But I'm installing Service Pack 1 now. I've installed RTM and now I'm trying to install sp1. But it shows that I need to install the Windows service pack first. Actually I've installed the service pack.

up I am installing fresh Exchange 2007 Sp1 on windows 2003 Sp2 OS. i am also getting same error which asks me to install KB928368. When i install this KB, i get an error : Setup has detected that the Service Packversion of the systemis newer thatn the update you are applying.There is no need to install this update.Anybody has idea here ?Thanks

Resolution would be reinstallation of SP2 of windows 2003. If that also doesn't work, then remove the SP2 and Install it back. Should resolve the issue.Issue occured as the hotfix KB928368 was release before the release of Windows 2003 Sp2. So the version of files with SP2 is comparitively newer than the Hotfix.
