Print Area ignored when opening in Excel 2013 after using in Excel 2011

We created an invoicing tool for a franchise organization. Users fill in the tool with financial details and send the tool to the financial administration department for invoicing. It is based on Windows platform and does work properly in Excel 2010 and Excel 2013.

Recently some users decided to buy a MacBook with Excel 2011 installed. When their filled Excel tool are opened in Excel 2013, the print area appears to be ignored. Anyhow, when I go to Name Manager, I can still find the print area definition and when I go to Printer settings, the option ignore print area  is not chosen.

I tried to reproduce this phenomenon on our own Mac (for testing purposes), but we could not reproduced it. Anyhow, it occurs with three different users.

Our customer does not want us to use VBA to solve the problem.

Can anybody help me?

Hi,

According to your desecration, my understanding is that you created an Excel file with invoicing tool in Excel 2013, and then this file was opened/edited with Excel 2011. Next, when you -reopened this file in Excel 2013, the print area was ignored. Am I right? If yes, I suppose this issue might be caused by some settings/formatting changed in Excel 2011.

Unfortunately, we support Office for Windows in the current forum, we are lack of skill and environment of Office for Mac, I suggest you post the question in Office for Mac forum:
