I have tried uninstalling drivers and re-installing but ever since I switched to windows 8.1 I cannot get text to print, only pictures. I cannot print any documents I need for my taxes. I just do not know what to do. Can you help?

Firstly, you can try to reinstall Printer Driver to resolve this problem, if no use, please contact the printer manufacture to verify the printer compatibility with Windows 8.1.

Then please go into your printer settings and make sure it is set up for both photos and text. Change print text to another color, if it prints text then problem is your black ink cartridge ink or head.
