Problem configuring Outlook after Windows 2008 DC migration
Over the weekend, our IT team brought 2 2008 DCs online. The previous 2003 DCs were demoted and turned off. Everything seemed to be working fine until we created a new user today. We are unable to configure Outlook 2007 to connect to our existing Exchange
2003 server in the users profile on Terminal serverr 2003. The new user can log into OWA without a problem but when we attempt to set up Outlook we get an error that the Exchange server cannot be found. No events are recorded in the Exchange or terminal
server event log.

Hi After dc migration did u reboot ur exchange 2003, if not reboot it once. If already rebooted, did u check the connectivity between ur ts and exch? Exchange server not available errors appears when connectivity is not there, still if connectivity is
there, I would like you to entree the fqdn of exchange 2003 server while configuring outlook profile Still if you face issue, you have to give us the event logs in ur exch

Hi GCorder,
Please post here your whole error message.
How about the old users when they rebuild a new profile?
How about other new created users?
Best Regards!

One question. Was the Exchange server also one one of the DCs? You can't DCPROMO an Exchange Server or Exchange breaks.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Thanks for your response. A simple reboot of the Exchange server solved the problem.
