Problem creating distribution group/list
I am running exchange 2003 and want to create a distribution group. I am following this microsoft walkthrough http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc164331%28EXCHG.65%29.aspx however when I get to step 5 I click next and it just creates the group and I do not get an option to Check Create an Exchange e-mail address . I cannot see what I am doing wrong! Many thanks

Hi, You can change email address after creating the list by going to list property and Email Addresses. Also r u sure that on step 5 Under Group Type, u have selected Distribution? Regards, Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

Maybe a dumb question but are you creating this DL on a server that has the Exchange System Manager installed? You need that installed to create a mail enabled group or DL.Exchange & Powershell Geek MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2010 Click Here to see my transcript

I realised I was opening a remote desktop connection to a server in the domain but not the primary domain controller - stupid me! All sorted now thanks.

Hi, Actually, you need to remote connection to a computer installed with Exchange Management tools or one Exchange server as Aaron said. I guess you install Exchange server on the Primary DC.
