Problem recovering folder through deleted items recovery
I have an issue with a user attempting to recover a deleted folder. When he attempts recovery this message pops up:"Outlook was unable to recover some or all of the items in this folder. Make sure you have the required permissions to recover items in this folder and try again. If the problem persists contact your administrator." An event is also generated in the application log on the Exchange server:"/o=XXXXX/ou=XXXXXX/cn=Recipients/cn=XXXXX" exceeded the maximum of 500 objects of type "objtFolder".The user does have a huge folder structure but I'm not sure how many. The strange thing is that he is able to recover other folders that he has deleted. Should I try increasing the limit on a temporary basis to see if the folder can be recovered?

Hi Parker, Yes, I think that you can temporarily increase the limitation to check whether the folder can be recovered. After recovering the folder, I suggest you move some items from Mailbox to PST. I quadrupled the limit on folder objects and still have the same result. When I look at open folders in System Manager it doesn't appear that the user has anywhere near 500 folders open.
