Problem with Search folders

I have recently upgraded to Office 365 and as part of this I have started filing all my customer email to one folder rather than individual folders per customer.

My idea was to then use search folders to pick up email from individual customers. The problem is that if I set up a search for all mail where from contains "abc.com" it only picks up emails where the from address is an smtp address, ie. jason@abc.com. If I have a contact set up for that user it does not work, ie Jason (whose email is jason@abc.com).

This worked previously on Office 2010.

Can somebody advise me on what I am doing wrong?

Hi Jason,

Is this how your search folder criteria looks?

I got the same behavior on my own machine with this criteria. To create a search folder for all users whose email addresses contain a specific string (domain), you might want to use "From E-mail Address" as the Field in your criteria.

Please have a try and feel free to post back if you need further assistance.
