Problem with cached password
Hi,I've problem with password witch is cached on my Exchange Servers. I've four Exchange Server 2007 sp1 rollup 9, one CA, one HT and two MB's. When user has changed his password in OWA, he can still use old password (and new one) in OWA and SMTP/POP3, afther about four hours the old password stops working. I've tried to repliacte whole AD (I've four site) but nothing has changed, in replications logthere is no error message.Best Regards,

Is this still happening if you reset the password from AD for that particular user? If yes , then have a look into PDC ? If no, then looks like getting cached on IIS of the CAS server. Try changing the password from OWA and then restart the exchange web site from IIS and see if this changes some thing.Raj

Hi,I changed password in Active Directory Users and Computers and I've the same problem. What must I check on PDC ? I've check replication between DC's and there is no error in logs. When I change user attribute on one DC's this change is replicated to another. I've restared IIS on CA and I can't login using old password. My CA is installed on Windows 2008 Standard Ed.Thanks.

So you mean to say the IIS is not getting proper update from the AD? when you change the password can you login fine with outlook: MAPI Client(trying to avoid the issue with CAS or AD)Raj

Hi,That maybe the known issue for IIS which you can refer to the below KB to troubleshoot this issue:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;152526After changing the value, please restart restarted the IIS Admin service and recycled the OWA application pool in IIS. Then check this issue.ThanksAllen
