I installed Exchange 2007 enterprise / mailbox role on a storage server for storage space but the installation had some errors. I tried uninstall and it failed. Now I am stuck. I try to reinstall the Exchange application and it states that "setup previously failed while performing the action"Uninstall". You cannot resume setup by performing the action "Install". I can not install or uninstall using the setup.com or the normal install path. Also, how do I remove this server name from the main exchange 2007server I have running, it is showing up in the server list in the console. Thanks, Springer

Try running this command from thea command windowon the server that you are wanting to remove the software from. "setup.com /uninstall -ms <servername> and this should uninstall the instance of exchange on this server. You can perform these installs and uninstalls from the command line and that usually works. However just get ready to let it simmer after the removal of the server in hopes that it will propogate across your AD, otherwise there is alot of clean up with ADSIEDIT.EXE.
