Problem with mandatory profiles
I have a server with Windows 2003 Server Enterprise with Active Directory installed, and now I want to use mandatory profiles. I have made the profiles by creating an testuser, called "Test". The testuser is created in the domains Active Directory, and the testusers profilefolder is called "test". I have logged in and set the preferences I want, the startpage in Internet Explorer and so on. When I'm creating the mandatory profile I change the foldername "test" to "test.man" and the ntuser.dat to ntuser.man. Then I try to log in with the testuser again, and the settings is as I leaved them. Everything is ok, and works fine, nothing is saved when I log out. Then I want to use the same profile for an other user called "test2". I set the same path as "test" under profile-tab in the test2's user settings in "AD users and computers". Then when I try to log in with "test2", the startmenu and desktop is not the same as it was for the first testuser (test). Icons are missing on the desktop and in the startmenu. And when I right-click on the desktop, under the Themes-tab and desktop-tab I cannot set anything, whitout getting an errormessage. And the preview in the display settings is just black. It seem to be so that, the profile works fine with the user it was created with, but when I'm applaying it on another user, they will not get the same settings. Do somebody know what the problem is? What have I do wrong, and do I have to set something else also to get the profile working?Regards, Rolle
