Problem with meeting invite while scheduling a resource

Hello.

I'm not sure if this is an Outlook issue or an Exchange issue but this is the problem:

If I schedule a meeting invite, include a resource (in my case a conference room), and attach a .pdf (either by dragging and dropping or by using insert tab>attach file) the subject line gets stripped from the invite. Outlook does not do this if a resource is NOT scheduled or if I send an invite without an attached .pdf. This problem affects all users and is not localized. We use Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2003 running on Server 2003 R2. Thank you for any input you have regarding this.

The problem still persists. I followed your instructions and the problem still occurs. It did not happen when I scheduled an "appointment" via OWA. OWA has no "meeting" choice and I'm not sure what the difference is.

As far as I know there are no add-ins installed in my Outlook installation or most other people's. We only do a basic install.

I tested .docx as well as .xlsx files and the problem happens with them also. Thank you.

Could this issue have to do with the known affected users having more than one outlook client? We all use virtual desktop from time to time.

OffCAT referred me to: kb 2699728
