Problem with owa connectivitity
Hello Again, Thankyou all for your help I now have exchange up and running and am able to send and recieve mail, internally and externally. I have another slight problem, i am trying to get owa working, it works when using the following url https://<server name> or <ip address>/owa but if i try to access it using the externalurl which is https://mail.princerupertschool.com/owa i get "internet explorer cant display the webpage". My external domain is princeupertschool.com, and when setting up the cas and owa stuff I used the mail.princerupertschool.com as the external fqdn, im assuming that this is wrong, any shoves in teh right direction greatly appreciated. Cheers Wayne Gillard

The host name mail.princerupertschool.com doesn't resolve for me. Have you created a DNS entry for it in your public DNS? Simon. Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.

Hello thanks for replying no I have not created a DNS record for mail.princerupertschool.com. I assume I have to get my domain registratr to create an A record for the domain and point it to my extrernal ip? Regards WG

If your domain registrar doesn't provide a web interface for you, then that is what you are going to have to do. This isn't an Exchange issue, but a DNS issue. Simon. Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.
