Problem with recipient policies
HelloI have Exchange 2003 and 2007 in a coexistent mode. Node, when I use the Get- command there is a warning with some recipient policies:
WARNING:Found'internal.domain.com'inNonAuthoritativeDomainsbutdidnotexpectit.Run
Set-EmailAddressPolicytocorrectthis.
What do I have to do? Should i remove the internal.domain.com (is my Active directory Name) from the other policies and leave it only in the default rule?ThanksNorbert

If the internal domain is intended to be non-authoritative, then make sure it is non-authoritative in all recipient policies. The following article by Microsoft Exchange Team member Vincent Yim explains the behavior in great details.http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/09/05/449764.aspxThanks.Bhargav Shukla - MSFT

HelloBhargavThanks for the input. Should the Active Directory Domain (one forest, one domain, finally on exchange) be configured as "authoritative domain"? Does this AD domain has to be in every recipient policy, or only in the default? I could remove it from the other policiesand the problem would be solved too, right?ThanksNorbert

Do you plan to have the "internal" domain be accepting any email either internal or external? If not, you can remove them from policies. You can just uncheck them in all policies and it will serve the purpose.Bhargav Shukla - MSFT -

I checked in EMC, and this internal domain is "authoritative". Because there is no mailflow on this domain I will uncheck it in the policyin ESM2003 before migrating. This means, finally the users do not nead an email adress with the actice directory domain, right? Could this cause any problems?ThanksNorbert

Since you do not expect any mailflow on this domain, No.Bhargav Shukla - MSFT -
