Problem with robocopy from NT server to Windows server.
Hi, I am trying to copy 16 GB of data fromWindows NT 4.0 server to Windows 2000 server. The user name and password used for accessing two server is different. While running robocopy my account is getting disabled. I tried to create a account in NT domain with same user name and password as 2000 domain, again the same problem. I mapped the network drive, then tried to copy then also my account is getting disabled. Please provide a suitable solution. Thanks in advance. Shailendra.

Have a look at the File Server Migration Toolkit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/upgrading/nt4/tooldocs/msfsc.mspx This might be a better solution? Deli

Hi guys, I found a simple solution to this problem, 1. Use local admin account for robocopy 2. Map the network drive with local admin accountto the NT server. 3. start the robocopy using mapped drive letter.
