Hello Everyone
I have two Exchange 2013 CU7 Servers running on Windows Server 2012 R2
One is in our primary location (EXCH1) and one is in our COLO (EXCH2) separated by a GIG pipe WAN Link. Both servers are running CAS & MBX roles (all physical and not virtual)
I have a DAG with both servers as members. Two active databases on each server, with users spread across them (four databases in total) fairly evenly.
Now I was easily able to copy DB01 and DB02 from EXCH1 over to EXCH2. I was also able to easily copy DB03 from EXCH2 over to EXCH1. All three databases are now active and healthy on their respective servers and passive and healthy on the other.
I have been trying and trying to get DB04 to copy over from EXCH2 to EXCH1 with absolutely NO luck.
Once I get the error:
The seeding operation failed. Error: An error occurred while performing the seed operation. Error: An error occurred while communicating with server 'EXCH2'. Error: Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. [Database: DB04, Server: EXCH2.domain.local]
I have tried to simply Resume and that has immediately failed. I have tried to perform the Update and that fails with the same error after a while. I have tried to dismount the database and remove it (then delete the files on the server), remount the database and try again.
I did notice that on EXCH2 (source server) I had received Event ID 245 (ESE). I then found the website http://itmorsels.blogspot.com/2012/06/245-error-creating-database-copy-in.html
I tried the suggestions posed on the above site also with no luck.
There really is not much lag between the two servers either (only about 3-7 ms ping times).
Database on EXCH1 is currently in the FailedAndSuspended state. I just dont know what else to try to get this thing copied over.
