Problems with Exchange Server 2003 Lately...
Hi, We have recently been having a lot of trouble with our exchange server. A lot of our business is conducted via email to many different servers accross the country but recently we started having problems with deliveries. The first one was an email to be sent to AOL that was first off delayed (we recieved a message saying that the email had been delayed but will continued to be resent and at this time there is no need to send it again), two days later we recieved an email again saying that the email was unable to be sent, we have our suspicions that this may be something to do with AOL but it may be on our servers side so I would first of all appreciate any suggestions. A couple of days later this problem started occuring with Hotmail, Yahoo and Wanadoo email addresses too which is starting to seriously compromise our business. Today though the IT Manager recieved an E-Mail that looked like this:- From: System Administrator To: 3dgerdur@copyrite.nl Sent: 25 September 2007 20:02 Subject: Undeliverable:RE: September 78% OFF Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: RE: September 78% OFF Sent: 25/09/2007 20:07 The following recipient(s) could not be reached: 3gerdur@copyrite.nl on 25/09/2007 20:07 The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address. <copyrite.nl #5.1.1> The main thing that struck me as odd here was the "copyrite.nl" as this has nothing to do with our organization and was wondering if there is something we have missed on our security (if we're spamming people without knowing or if people are compromising the server and spamming us). Which would undoubtedly lead to people blocking e-mails from our IP and server which would result in the first problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You Tom
