Problems with Ip Address in the email header
Hi Everyone!! We just finish to deploy Exchange 2007, and when I sent an email outside form our network, eg. hotmail or gmail, I noticed that the Client IP from where the email was generated is the same that the server IP where exchange resides. I try from Outlook 2007 and from OWA, and de results is the same. I can't see the Client IP from the email was generated. I don't know if this a regular behavior of exchange 2007, or maybe I miss some configuration via powershell... I'll appreciate any idea to resolve this situation. P.S. I try too in the Message Tracking tool, and is the same thing, the ClientIP is the same that the ServerIP.. TIA Victor Garcia Server Administrator Universidad Autonoma de SLP, Mexico

Could you please try to post the header of a message where this is the case?

Hi, Of course, that is a regular behavior in Exchange 2007, also in previous version of Exchange server unless the clientuse SMTP to submit the message since only SMTP communication is recorded in Message Header. Such as POP3 client. Thanks Allen
