Public Folder: Not available on this server
I`m in a process of migrating PF from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. I have add replica Exchange 2010 server. If i use PowerShell, i can see item statistic and so on, but if i use GUI, i cannot see: Total litem : Not available on this server Size (KB) : Not available on this server Public Folder Database: Not available on this server Modified: Not available on this server I can confirm that items are there, and users do not complain about missing items, and so on. Public folder database on Mailbox database is set to New Exchange 2010 PF. But if i create new Public folder, i can see statistic under GUI.

Not unusual during the replication stage. I ignore the GUI until all content has been moved. Public Folder replication is an odd beast at the best of times, so anything strange happening during the initial replication is to be expected and largely ignored. Hi, From the problem description, I understand that you are in a process of migrating PF from E2k3 to E2k10. And the replication has been added on the Exchange server 2010. And I know that you could view the item statistic if you use EMS Get-PublicFolderItemStatistics, Right? however, you are unable to see via “GUI”. So could you please let me know whether the “GUI” means EMC (Exchange Management Console) or PFMC (Public Folder Management Console)? Public Folder replication did indeed, because no users reported the missing items. Could you please let me know the PF you would like to view via "GUI" resided on which Exchange server? E2k3 or E2k10. Since you are under the migration of the public folder, I would like to share one link for your reference to verify the procedures towards moving public folders from E2k3 to E2k10: Title: How to Move Public Folder from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 URL: http://blogs.technet.com/b/agobbi/archive/2010/08/04/how-to-move-public-folder-from-exchange-2003-to-exchagne-2010.aspx Title: Move Public Folder Content from One Public Folder Database to Another Public Folder Database URL: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331970.aspx Thx, James Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. For GUI i mean PFMC. And yes i can see statistic in EMS when i run Get-PublicFolderItemStatistics, and item count is the same. I have run AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 and add Exchange 2010 server. Actually i add 4 Exchange servers, because all host PF database. On Exchange 2003 System Manager, i trigger replication to all Exchange 2010 servers. That generated a lot of traffic, i have to enable circular logging, and after it was finish, i disable circular logging. I did not yet run Update-PublicFolderHierarchy, but i will, when i planned to. But will setup these from Exchange 2003 System management. I wil use Exchange 2003 System manager to move all Exchange 2003 replicas to Exchange 2010. I have fixed aliases on mail enabled public folder.

Hi, I am agree with Simon. You need to wait for some time and then check this from EMC. Have you tried to reboot exchnsged 2010 box any time. you can reboot it once and then verify (I know its not solid reason to do) :) Anil MCC 2011,ITIL V3,MCSA 2003,MCTS 2011, My Blog : http://messagingschool.wordpress.com

Hi, Based on the current situation, I understand that the issue still remained. Any new public folders can be seen with GUI, but all old one, we must use EMS. Since the public folders on the Exchange server 2003 have been migrated to the Exchange server 2010 properly, I suggest that we could run the following command in the Exchange Management Console to get further investigation: Update-PublicFolderHierarchy -Server "Your Server Name" After running the command above, please reopen the Exchange Management Console to verify whether the old public folders could be viewed via GUI or not. There are some links for your reference: Title: Using the Public Folder Management Console URL: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691188.aspx Title: Update a Public Folder Hierarchy URL: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996837.aspx Thx, JamesPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
