Dear All.............I am some issues with Public Folders access after I migrated my environment from Exchange 2013.

Environment

Parent Domain:  parentdomain.com

Child Domain 1:  childdomain1.com

Child Domain 2:  childdomain2.com

Both childdomain1.com and childdomain2.com have their own exchange servers.  after migration of exchange 2007 to 2013 childdomain1.com users can access public folders, but childomain2.com users are not able to access public folders.

How can I troubleshoot it?

Please check if childomain2.com users have access rights on the PublicFolders in childdomain1.com.

Get-PublicFolderClientPermission -Identity "\My Public Folder" -User Chris | Format-List

You might need to increase the recepient scope to read users across domains.

Set-AdServerSettings -ViewEntireForest $true -PreferredGlobalCatalog gc1.contoso.com

User : The User parameter specifies the user principal name (UPN), domain\user, or alias of the user for whom rights are being added.

There is someting for Ex2003, not sure if it will work for Ex2013:

Q.The user's mailbox resides in a domain that is different from the public folder's domain.

A. Add the Exchange Domain Servers security group of the child domain with Read permissions to the ACL of the Microsoft Exchange System Objects container in the parent domain. This method is the recommended method for working around this problem.
