Public Folder Migration 2007 to 2013.

Using this article

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj150486%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Got to Step 5, began the Migration Request and got "Fatal error DataValidationException has occurred".

I've got a ton of folders with the spaces and "/" in the their Alias and mailNickname.

Very few are mail enabled.  This seems to be an issue for any Public Folder.

Mail enabled or not.

None of the methods I've found on the web for bulk repair of this seem to work.

I don't think Alias is visible from Powershell on my old mail server?

If I run Get-PublicFolder  -Identity "\Administrative Assembly" | fl

I get

Hi David,

Based on my knowledge, your issue is caused by the space in the Public Folders name and alias in Exchange 2007. To resolve the issue, we need to delete spaces between the names of public folder and resumed replication.

I suggest we can change the alias for all Public Folders from Public Folder Management Console 2007.  And remove any space or special characters in Public Folder name and alias.

Then run the public folder migration request to move the public folder from Exchange 2007 to 2013.

I'm trying to make those changes in bulk.  There are too many to do manually.

This cleaned up most of the mess for me.

I'm done...

Unfortunately there are XP clients that can't access the folders on the 2013cu7 server.

Oh well.  They need to up
