Public Folder Permissions issues in mixed enviroment
Hello All, I have a Exchange 2007 Server along with a exchange 2003 server in my organization. The exchange 2003 server was the only server in the enviroment until about 3 months ago. We have 92 mailboxes migrated to the 2007 server and 25 that remain on the exchange 2003 server. Both running latest and greatest Service packs and patches, both running on windows 2003 SP2. The issue i am seeing is my clients even my self a domain admin, not able to update or add new items to the public folders DB which still resides on the 2003 Server and replicated to the exchange 2007 box. Specifically I have a calander setup in the public folders, that has been used for over 2 years now. I cannot select to change sharing permisions from outlook, ifI create a new public folder i have full permissions, and can add users. All users in the 2k3 server that had permissions were set to owners. If i copy the specific calander to the new calander as a sub calander i can view the permissions, and change them, but i can still not modify the tasks in the calander. I cannot see any reason why my users are getting access denied when trying to save a task to the calander. if someone knows a better way to manage public folders in Exhcange 2007 please let me know. Thank you,
