Public Folder Replication - Stop replication
Hello all
We're in the middle of a migration to Exchange 2010 from 2003. We have 2 Exchange 2003 servers for public folders that's replicating partners. We've been having latency and errors concerning the replication of public folders between the two servers.
My question is: Is it possible to remove one of the Exchange 2003 servers as a replication partner to eliminate the latency and error while we're working through this migration? That way the public folder would only be on a single server allow us to clean
it up without replication issue concerns?

Well, without any replication you certainly won't have any latency!
:-)

If you're experiencing problems with replication I wouldn't expect you
to be able to cleanly (or at least easily) remove the replicas. In
order to remove the replica the two replication partners are going to
have to agree that at some point the remaining replica has all of the
other replica's items.
If you plan on moving (replicating) those public folders to 2010 it'd
be a good idea to at least understand (if not fix) the problem.

You may also export the public folder content and then import it into Exchange 2010 server.Fiona Liao
