Public Folder Replication E2K3 to E2K7
Setup replication between legacy E2K3 and E2K7 for PFs. I get the Hierarchy fine and I created a new PF on each side and posted a message and both sides now have the content. Out of 19 PFs only 5 have replicated completely and they all do not have much in
them. I checked the sources of where the PFs reside and there is not pattern as to which PF server on the E2K3 side might be causing the problem, if it is. There are multiple servers involved.
When I look on my HUB server I see the following event ID: Strange thing is that the Hierarcy appears to have come over just fine. The PF on E2K7 has some data just not much. I get this error in the event log every 5 minutes. I turned logging on for
the Transport and SMTPSent/Recieve and I get nothing. HELP!

Hello,
Checked the mail flow between the E2K3 & E2K7 Server is working fine or not. -- It (mail flow ) should be working fine between the servers.
Please checked the PF Database is mounted or not ? --- If it is mounted then dismount it and remount it.
And If any third party software is installed on the server then unistalled it for troubleshooting.
Wait for 48 - 72 hours for complete content replication.
Please go through this KB it will help u ---
Exchange Server 2007 does not generate an event log message for public folder replication messages even though a property validation exception is thrown and the replications do not occur

Try this and it fix the problem.

Hi
Addition to what PKT wrote:
Make sure that you don't have any smarthost configured on the Default SMTP Protocol on the 2003 server.
If using smarthost, create a new routing group connector (smtp)Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Configuration | MCITP: EMA | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

they do have a smarthost configured for the default SMTP connection. We have a routing group connector setup between the 2003 and 2007 environment do I still need another one? How do I tell the systems to use the other routing group connector (not the
default one) to replicate?

Hi
Well, the best should be to create a new connector (smtp) and setup it properly with smarthost etc.
Then delete the smarthost settings from default smtp protocol
That should solve the problem I hope

Found our issue. When we set the replicaiton partner to the new server it did not traverse down the hierarchy. I am having to run a script to recursively go through the whole structue and add the new server. Not sure if that was by design or just done
to make my life heck for a while...
Thank you for your input and advise.
