Public Folder Replication Woes
We are replicating public folders from one Ex2003sp2 server to another Ex2003sp2 server. Several folders are exorbitantly large (30GB and 15GB). I have allowed replication to run for over one month, and still, the folder status in the ESM on the destination server is nowhere near the size of the original folder, even though the number of items is identical. This size discrepancy is also reflected in the size differenc of the .edb files on the source and destination servers. The destination Exchange server is generating mountains of log files, but there is never any size increase in the store. I have enabled logging on the destination and there are no errors and lots of incoming/outgoing/backfill requests. Am I missing something or do I need to be more patient?Andy

How large is the PF Databases as a whole on the original server? I have seen it take a couple of months for large DBs. I would definitely take a backup of the new server to flush the logs.Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Item Counts are what matter, not size. If the item counts match between replicas on the servers, then replication is successful.
