Public Folder Replication error appears but replication is not configured.  Remnant of a 2003 to 2007 replica move.
Running Exchange 2007 SP2 Moved FB replica from 2003 to 2007 One folder failed to move completely Microsoft suggested I get a backup instead and use adsiedit to delete the public folders because you can't uninstall Exchange if a replica is in the process of synching. I removed the Exchange 2003 Server as a replica and used Adsiedit to delete the public folders However, Exchange 2007 is producing the following error as if it still wants to replicate with that one folder that was failing to complete. Event Type: Warning Event Source: MSExchangeIS Public Store Event Category: (29) Event ID: 3092 Date: 12/05/2010 Time: 10:50:20 AM User: N/A Computer: Description: Error 1129 occurred while processing a replication event. Folder: (9-E5027) IPM_SUBTREE\path\folder name No symptoms are experienced but I would like to end the warnings and stop the attempts to replicate

Error 1129: Replica list not found in the REPLSTATE table, or some stale entries are in the table “It's possible for the rows in the ReplState table to get out of sync with the replica list, such that it has extra or missing rows. Hi, Thanks for the reply. I followed the steps in the release notes on how to prepare and remove the last Exchange 200x from a 2007 org. Unfortunately, a folder persisted in the Public Folder Instances folder and after troubleshooting with Microsoft, they recommended I get a pst of the folder and move it to 2007 and use adsiedit to remove the public folders from the storage group. In the remove section of the Release Notes, it is recommended you drag Public Folders from Folders to a new Public Folders Container in the 2007 group. To answer your question, there isn't a PF in Folders. It was dragged to the Folders container in the 2007 group. After doing all of this, I didn't expect to see 3092 warnings on the 2007 server that was configured to contain the sole replica. I forgot to mention that I never replaced the public folder which never received the full copy with the pst I got as a backup. It's a public calendar and the pst would erase all future meetings and appointments, so the pst is available only as a backup and compliance related issues. What I would like to do is keep the current folder that never replicated but stop these warnings.

Please refer to the suggestions in this thread, see if there’re any further left traces about the public folder, and then remove themJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

Thanks for the info but the issue is not the same. All users are pointing to a single replica on a single server. No replication is occurring, but the error goes back to a replication attempt when a 2003 server was being decommissioned and the public folders was moved to a 2007 box. Here's the error again: Event Type: Warning Event Source: MSExchangeIS Public Store Event Category: (29) Event ID: 3092 Date: 12/05/2010 Time: 10:50:20 AM User: N/A Computer: Description: Error 1129 occurred while processing a replication event. Folder: (9-E5027) IPM_SUBTREE\path\folder name It occurs every 5 minutes. There's only one server listed in the replication tab for the public folder. Only one folder is causing the error. This is the folder that remained in the instances folder and never fully replicated. I used adsiedit to remove the public folder in 2003 otherwise a folder in the instances folder will prevent an uninstall. I ran isinteg on the public folders and no errors were reported. Thanks for your help

It's not solved. isinteg did not report a problem but the warning messages continue to occur

Yes, and i followed the decommissioning steps for 2003 short of uninstalling the server. i was able to delete the public folder store because i used adsiedit to get around the issue of a public folder in the instances folder blocking the uninstall of exchange 2003.

So that replica is still there and accessible? If so, cut your losses, export to a pst via Outlook, and delete the folder instance and then create a new folder and re-import.
