Public Folder permissions in a different organization (InterOrg replicated)
Hi, We are migrating public folders into a new org (part of the company is splitting off due to legal reasons, and this needs to be completed in a rush) and currently using InterOrg to replicate them. Mailboxes are migrated using MailMig and there is a trust in place which will allow original user accounts to be used to access mailboxes in the new org (both are Exchange 2003 for legacy reasons, upgrade to 2010 comes next year). This all works fine. InterOrg replicates content without problems, and the plan was to use PFDavAdmin to export permissions and import them into the new org - this however fails, PFDavAdmin seems to ignore accounts from the source (two-way trusted) domain. As far as I can tell, if permissions (ptagNTSD) were imported, they would work just fine, since on SID level the old sid is visible (it is the only one used) - MailMig migrates mailbox permissions based on the old SID fine, so the only problem remaining is how to import original permissions into the new org. Does anyone have any suggestions - or tricks to force pfdavadmin to apply sid based permissions regardless of the sid now being present in the target forest? Due to time constraints and a complicated org structure, we aren't able to use ADMT to migrate groups and sidHistory before PFs are migrated, so I'm really hoping we can somehow set ptagNTSD to original sids.
