Public Folder question
We are using Exchange 2007 and have 2 Server with all role and 2 EDGE server
But only 1 server have Public Folder
Recently, I got some error log due to Public Folder replication from NON_IPM_Subtree ,(I found many duplicate folder)
I am thinking, I have only 1 server have public folder, do i need to replicate it? if i disable the public folder replication, any concern?

Hi
You don't NEED to have a replica, but I should say.. it depends
If you are using Outlook 2003 and older you will need a PF DB for OAB
But if you have Outlook 2007 and newer you don't need the PF DB for the OAB distribution

Have you checked result in the ExBPA as xiu zhang suggested in another thread?
Please provide all information in two events
Please go to ADSI editor, and check if there’s any stale entry for old decommissioned exchange server under “CN=Servers” container
Please also check “msExchOwningPFTreeBL” attribute, it shall contain the path of existing public stores
a.
Start->Run->ADSIEdit.msc
b.
Expand “Configuration”->”CN= Configuration,DC=DomainName,DC=Com”->”CN=Services”->”CN=Microsoft Exchange”->”CN=OrgName”->”CN=Exchange
Administrative Groups”->”CN=AdministrativeGroupName”->”CN=Folder Hierarchies”
c.
In the right-pane, double-click “CN=Public Folders”, in the jumped windows, double-click the “msExchOwningPFTreeBL” attribute. The default format of
the value in “msExchOwningPFTreeBL” is like below:
CN=Public Folder Store (SERVER2),CN=First Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=SERVER2,CN=Servers,CN=First Administrative Group,CN=Administrative
Groups,CN=Company,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=lab,DC=comJames Luo
