Public Mailboxes --do you use
We do not have these setup. From what I have read it you have a group mailbox or calendar it is better to set it up as a Pubic mailbox. We have five locations and at this time they do not have a common shared drive for each department. Would you recommend using Public Mailboxes to accomplish this? One item I read is you cannot edit documents stored with a time stamp.Any or pros or cons from people that have tried this or are using it?ThanksWe are on exchange 2007 SP1, Windows 2003 R2

I am attempting to setup a new public folder and in the path field it will not allow me to put anything in there. When I go into outlook I can see the public folder, and when I try to open it I get an error "a server mailbox cannot be opended because this addressbook entry is not a mail user"What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Error: A server mailbox cannot be opened because this address book entry is not a mail user
The error will occur if the following is true:
If in the Calendar view of Outlook, you are trying to use the "Open a Shared Calendar" link to view a public folder calendar
If the public folder calendar is selected to be visible to address lists
Resolution: Add the public folder calendar to favorites list

James,I am not attempting to open a calendar view or open a shared calendar.I have setup the public folders and when I attempt to open it in outlook a permission error I cannot move it. I do not understand why I set up the public folder and only have author rights, when I am signed in as admin on the server. Thanks
