Mostly i just want to know why this isn't working..jimSummary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed. Elapsed time: 00:00:00 OCSFailed Error:Failed to commit the change on object because access is denied. Hi,This is the exact command what you tried? Because it has a typo it is an unnecessary space between the backslash and the "Software" in the -Path parameter.Regards,Zoltnhttp://www.clamagent.org - Free Antivirus for Exchange http://www.it-pro.hu http://emaildetektiv.hu

Verify that account has Exchange Organization Admin permission which you are using to create public folder, New-PublicFolder requires that... ================================================================ To run theNew-PublicFoldercmdlet, the account you use must be delegated the following: Exchange Organization Administrator role ================================================================ New-PublicFolder http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996405.aspxAmit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

No, it's not the exact command. I edited the original when i pasted it into the message (removed my company name.) The syntax is correct.

Please see KB 313866, which has shown the same issue as yours Please use PFDavAdmin to verify the DACL status of the Software folder (Step 4 of my post in this thread) If the suggestions above dont work, please try the steps below: 1. Please reproduce the issue, and check if theres any error/ warning event in the application log 2. Please try to create a test public folder under the public root, see if the issue still persists 3. Please run the ExBPA against exchange server for a health check

I'm unable to run PFDavAdmin. When i try to connect i get the following error:"Could not expand http://ServerName/ExAdmin/Admin/COMPANYNAME.COM/public%20folders/: Name cannot begin with the '0' character, hexadecimal value 0x30. Line 1, position 391."I'm using a domain admin account with full Exchange permissions to run PFDAvAdmin.

Unfortunately after i installed it i got a new error..."An error occurred while trying to establish a connection to the Exchange server. Be sure that port 443 (for SSL) or port 80 (for non-SSL) can be reached. If you are connecting to public folder, be sure that the public store is mounted. If you are connecting to mailboxes and the progress bar shows a particular mailbox, be sure that user has at least one email address.""Exception: Faile to connect using secure URL https://ServerName/ExAdmin/Admin/COMPANYNAME.COM/public%20folders/ with error: The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server.. The fix http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/313866 seems to apply to Exchange 2003. I actually have the same error message. I've install PFDAVADMIN on a workstation with .NET Frame 1.1 installed. We have a mixed Exchange org with Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 servers. The PFDAV connects successfully to Exchange 2003 but fails to connect the Exchange 2007 servers. It comes up with the same error message above. "Exception failure, 401 unsecured access and stuff". Pls any help will be greatly appreaciated.
