Public folders in deleted objects after CU8

Hi all

Since upgrading to CU8 last night from (I think) CU6 Exchange seems to believe that the public folders are pointing to deleted objects for each mailbox and database.

I've checked and the public folders database still exists under CN=Databases,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=ORGNAME,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services

However, if I run get-publicfolderdatabase it returns nothing!

Public folders are still all accessible, but I'm starting to worry a bit.

Our public folders were originally migrated from Exchange 2007

Can anyone shed any light or give advice?

Thanks

Andy

Oh and we keep getting event ID 2937 warning us that the property [PublicFolderDatabase] is set to a value in deleted objects for various mailboxes (and it shows as the default public folder database against each mailbox database)

OK, I think I've answered my own question.

get-publicfolderdatabase is only relevant for Exchange 2010 / 2007.  The deleted object references appear to relate to this as well.

Cheers

Hi,

In Exchange 2013, we can use the Get-PublicFolderDatabase cmdlet to view public folder database settings for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 or earlier public folders:

Hi,

Please use ADSIedit.msc to check whether the arrtibute - msExchHomePublicMDB from all the Databases is pointed to an unavailable value:
1. Open ADSIEdit.
2. Connect to the Configuration container.
3. Expand Configuration, expand CN=Configuration,DC=Domain,DC=com.
4. Expand CN=Services -> CN=Microsoft Exchange -> CN=Domain -> CN=Administrative Groups -> CN=Exchange Administrative Group -> CN=Databases.
5. In the right hand pane you will see a list of databases.
6. Right-click the listed database object -> Properties.
7. Check whether the msExchHomePublicMDB value is set to an unavailable value. If you see reference to the old database, please clear the value.
8. Click OK.
9. Check the rest of the databases to make sure that they are not populated in the same way.

Regards,
