Publish Visio 2013 and Sharepoint 2010

I have a Visio 2013 Org diagram with links, however when I publish the diagram to sharepoint 2010 all the hyperlinks are missing. I have saved the diagram as a Visio 2010 web drawing and uploaded to sharepoint.

Has anyone see this issue before, and if so, is there a fix for this.

Any information would be appreciated, thanks kim

Hi,

As I know, the Visio Web drawings can have hyperlinks, multiple pages, and other features like a standard Visio drawing. Thus, I recommend you upload the other Visio diagram which include the hyperlink to SharePoint 2010 to test. If the hyperlinks still miss, the issue may be caused by the hyperlinks via the Visio Web Access web part properties is disabled.

I recommend we try to check the settings in Visio service, please refer to the following links:

Thank you for your response. I have tried these solutions but am still encountering an issue.
June 5th, 2014 8:25am

Hi,

Does the issue only occur in the special file or all the files? Have you try to just save it as VSDX format and test in SharePoint?

If the issue only occur the special file, I recommend you re-create part of the drawing or copy/paste to a new drawing to test.

If the issue still exists, would you like to share us a sample drawing through One Drive if possible?

Thanks

Hi,

Please try to publish the file to OneDrive, and then we'll get a link to share it in the thread, I'll download it.

More detailed steps:

Use this option to share items with lots of people you might not even know personally. For example, you can use these links to post to Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. You can also use them to share in email or IM, but you'll have less control over individual permissions than you do with the Invite people option.
  1. Choose the type of link you want. The permissions for the item are automatically updated when  you create the link.

    View only
When you share items with this type of link, people can view your items without signing in. They can also forward the link to other people.

    Edit
When you share items with this type of link, people can view your items and use Office Online programs to edit Office documents, all without signing in. To make other edits, like adding or deleting files in a folder, people need to sign in with a Microsoft account. People can forward an edit link to other people, and anyone who receives the link will also be able to edit the items.

    Public
A public link is like a View only link, but it also allows anyone to find the shared item by searching. If you choose this option, people will be able to access the item you're sharing even if you don't publish the link you get.

  2. Tap or click Create link. This copies the link to your Clipboard.

  3. Paste the link into an email, IM, document, or wherever you want to share it. Or, tap or click Share to. This selects the Share charm so that you can share the link using another app.

Hi George - Here is the link.  http://1drv.ms/1kSuXml.

When a user clicks on the picture of the Leader it should launch their email address

When a user click on the Leader name it should launch a bio profile

When a user clicks on the Leader title it should launch the their job profile

When a user clicks on the "Video Message" a video would launch.

None of the links work when importing into sharepoint 2010. Thank you again for your assistance.

Hi Sir,

I have download your diagram, but it has lost the hyperlink when I test in my pc.

Thus, I want to re-set the hyperlink and upload it to SharePoint, it works well.

Would you like to try my steps?

Right click the shape>Hyperlink>New> Add multiple hyperlinks.

Hi George - I have tried to get the links to work but it's not going to well. Perhaps I am missing something. Are you able to do the following with the shape

When a user clicks on the picture of the Leader it should launch their email address

When a user click on the Leader name it should launch a bio profile

When a user clicks on the Leader title it should launch the their job profile

When a user clicks on the "Video Message" a video would launch.

Thanks Kim

Hi,

I think we need to change your original shape structure to get the four goals.

1. We need to right click the shape>Hyperlink>In the Address box, type mailto: followed by the e-mail address, for example: "mailto:test@microsoft.com"

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/visio-help/add-a-hyperlink-HA010369724.aspx

2. Create a new txt file or a new Visio page with bio profile. Add the hyperlink between the Leader name and

txt file/a new Visio page

3. Please split the original info in shape, and insert two Text boxes and type the job profile and Video Message.

Then Repeat the step 2.

Thanks
