Query on Visio Standard 2013 licensing on a Windows Server 2012
I have a licensing query for Visio standard 2013 on a Server 2012. Im planning to buy
one copy of Visio 2013 standard and install it on a Server 2012 (no RDS on this
server). Ive 4 users in total using this server however one (or two) user(s)
will be using this server concurrently. Is my plan to buy one copy appropriate?

Your problem is that no version of Visio (or other office product) is supported on a server. They are single threaded so concurrent use is in serious jeopardy.

Thanks Al.

Installation of Office on an RDS server is a supported configuration. Doesn't the same logic hold good with Visio?

no, because rds virtualizes the individual connections.

Thanks Al, I missed to point out that Visio is supported on a Win Server 2012 and 2008, as per the sys req documentation.

As you've pointed out; rds/rdp provides session isolation and concurrent usage shouldn't be a problem.
