With Update Rollup 5, Microsoft introduced the new manageed content management shell command "Set-ManagedFolder Inbox -BaseFolderOnly $true"This allows you to prevent managed folder assistant from applying policies to the subfolders for the management folder. When the command is run from the shell nothing is returned so you really have no feedback to if it worked or not. Does anyone know of a command that will list which folders only have the root folder set up for management only, ignoring the subfolders. I've tried the "Get-ManagedFolder inbox | FL" command but it doesn't show anything. I'm getting ready to apply this to about 1000 mailboxes and I'd like to have something verifying the folders are set up, so theonlymanaged folderis on thebase or root folder only. Thanks!

The cmdlet you used is correct, it can use to check the BaseFolderOnly flag. Thanks for the response back. I think the command is working but it doesn't show any feedback to what the status of the flag is. When you enter the command it just comes back to a prompt.If you run the command multiple times,you do get amessage that the command ran successfully but nothing was changed. What I'm looking for is some way that would list which folders had the flag set and which one's don't. When I ran the command "Get-ManagedFolder inbox | FL command" it lists the properties for the folder but doesn't show anything about the flag.

You have installed Update Rollup 5 for Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1, right? Please check if rollup 5 has been installed on the Exchange Server: a. Open the register b. Expand to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\461C2B4266EDEF444B864AD6D9E5B613\Patches c. You can see all service patches that you had already installed Please confirm that all exchange servers has been installed rollup 5, un-identical patches among the exchange servers will cause unexpected issue
