I am probably asking the impossible here. If I were to hide a distribution list(DL), is it possible that if an email is still sent to it that the name of the DL will appear as opposed to just the e-mail address in the too field ?. Background - I want to hide distribution lists from the masses but should I provide the email address to certain people I would like them to be able to send to it like any other DL, I want to avoid going the root of restricting access to send to a DL. Hope someone can help.

Hi, I don't think its possible to hide a DL for some & make is visible for others, either is visible for all or for none & more over if its hidden & mail is send to its email address mail will go through to avoid that you can allow only some user the right to send mail to that DL. No, natively it;s not possible, and to be honest it's not too much work to restrict who can send to a DL, or to set it up, should only take about 5 mins. I'd suggest you put in restrictions. Sukh
